Once
PodSmith locks your screen, applications or files, the lock icon
will be displayed on the menu bar until it is turned OFF.
Click the icon in menu bar to starts to lock or eject iPod.

If I'm using my iPod as a key, How can I play music?
You can still play music as usual.
Usually, backup data such as bookmarks use very small space of iPod.
You will need the space less than 1 MB in general.
My computer was locked by trial version of PodSmith. How can I unlock?
Please type a password "abc" for trial version.
What can I do with PodSync?
For example;
When iPod is mounted, use the data in iPod, and when iPod is unmounted, leave the data in the Macintosh.
or
In Macintosh, when iPod is mounted, use the iPod's data, then back to the original data when iPod is unmounted.
Can I synchronize manually instead of PodSync?
Yes, you can Synchronize manually at any time.
Can I synchronize without PodSmith?
You can synchronize also without PodSmith; at friend's house, for example.
When you want to save data to your iPod, the utility software "PortSmithPorter" will save it.
This PodSmithPorter not only writes the data in your iPod to your Macintosh, but also reverts back to the original data.
PodSmithPorter program is a part of PodSmith and it will copy into iPod automatically.
You can launch it from iPod!
If you're using it as a key, what do you do if your iPod is lost or stolen?
You can type a password to unlock your Mac.
Ofcause, you can set the another iPod as a key again.

PodSmith will keep your privacy even if your iPod is stolen.
PodSmith can't start Locking when my iBook goes to sleep.
PodSmith will start Locking when it goes to system sleep - instead of screen sleep.
