Is it a Server? Why I use Server?

KidsServer PE has name "Server", because it works as Server.
Do not panic. It is kinds of OS X internal server.
KidsServer PE work on OS X and monitor the incoming data to restrict.
It works on your Mac exactly same as KidsGoGoGo.
KidsServer PE means KidsGoGoGo Deluxe.

We recommend to try it first.

Is it work for different locations such as home and school?

If your using laptop and move the locations, It will work in both locations in most case.

I am a beginner. Can I setup network?

KidsServer PE needs network settings, but it is very simple.

Open Network in System preferences.
Click Proxy tab and type "127.0.0.1" (and type port number "8080")
That all you need.

I am using both OS X and OS 9. When boot from OS 9, How does it?

KidsServer PE works OS X only.
If you launch a Classic environment in OS X, KidsServer PE disable the Classic browser.
If you need boots both environments, KidsGoGoGo is better for you.

How can I check the KidsServer is active or not?

Open "KidsServer setup" program.
You can check the current status of KidsServer PE.

Can I monitor the KidsServer?

Yes, you can.
Open "Console" program. (located in Utility folder in Applications folder)
Depends on System log level, you will see how KidsServer working.

Do you have academic price for KidsServer PE?

No. Like a eMac, we offer the lowest price to all of yours.

Can I restrict the messengers?

No. KidsServer restrict HTTP only.

Can I change the restricted messages?

Yes, you can specify the URL to redirect or use your custom HTML file.

Where is the restrict URL address?

All restrict data are masked.
Please understand that if it is opened, there is a possibility that it may be abused.

When setup changes are effective?

Any changes in admin will effect after restart of the KidsServer.
You can restart the KidsServer by one of followings.

Click "Restart KidsServer" in KidsServer admin.
Turn switch on/off in KidsServerSetup application.
Log in again.
Restart your computer.

Forced Safe Searches works for Google only?

Safe Searches work for most major search engines below.

Google, Yahoo, MSN, Ask Jeeves, AltaVista, Lycos, AlltheWeb, IceRocket

It work not only for word search but image searches and video searches.

KidsServer still works after expired?

No. After the expire date, KidsServer does not filter.
You need to extend your license for next year.

Do you have KidsServer Classic version?

No. We have no plan for a Classic version.
If you own both OS X and Classic, please consider for KidsServer.

Does KidsServer PE work for Classic environment in OS X?

No. You cannot use the OS 9 Browsers in Classic environment of OS X.

Can I update the KidsServer PE to the KidsServer later?

No.
